Intranet / Extranet Templates & Asthetic issues

I was able to adjust the look of the templates a bit by replacing the orange color from the Elim skin with a blue one that matches our website. However,
the sub-nav in our "info-center" section is a weird color and is aligning funny. I don't know how to fix the color or the alignment.

Hi Koa,
To change any of the colors of the menu buttons go to the skin record in the skins module that you are using for that page. Then click on the
nav
button. This will take you to a page which allows you to configure the text styles used for the main menu bar and the sub nav menu. Click on
Sub Menu
. Assign the appropriate text style for each of the button states you want in the menu.
Then click on the
Styles
button. You'll see a listing of a bunch of CSS text styles. In this sub-module you can configure the look of those text styles which govern the look and feel of your menu buttons. Edit one of the sub menu buttons.
You can change the title of the text style to anything you want. The CSS style name can be anything you specify as well, just make sure there aren't any spaces and the only punctuation you use is a hyphen. If you don't see a font grouping that you like, then you can make one of your own.
When all the styles are set the way you want it, then click the
Publish Skin & Website
button. You should see your changes made to your website.
In order to change the alignment of the sub menu, you'll need to modify the templates for the skin.
Ascribe places the sub menu into the page where it sees the
{sub_nav}
placeholder. Also ... now this is the tricky part ... if you go back to the
Nav > Sub Menu
form. Way at the bottom there is a little template for the sub menu. Whenever a sub menu needs to appear on a page, Ascribe will wrap the sub menu in this little sub menu template and pop all that into the
{sub_nav}
placeholder in the page template. All this requires a good understanding of how HTML and templates work. Let me know if I can explain further or if something doesn't seem to work.
Remember to publish skin and website after making changes.
Aloha,
Truman

Thanks Truman!
Yes, the section I wanted was the "styles" section. That helped me to change the colors of the nav buttons. Also, I needed to enlarge the "padding" parameter so that there was more space between the end of the words and the end of the button... that's because firefox was drawing it so close to the edge it was actually cutting off.
Keep up the good work!,
