I think this is a "groups" question, or maybe an "events" question, but those forums haven'tt been set up, so...

I set up several events today from within a group, and noticed that the date format when I was entering the group is still yyyy.mm.dd, when the people module date formay is mm/dd/yyyy.  The general application preference is set to mm/dd/yyyy, and my personal preference is set to that as well.  Any ideas why this is the case?

It's not a big deal, but I thought I'd ask since it seems a little awkward to have a staff member enter dates in one format in one module, but then need to switch their thinking and use a different format in a different module.  I can imagine them getting the "you didn't enter the date correctly error" a few times before catching on to this.

Hi Marc,

I tested this out on your Ascribe install. After I set the user's date format preference, it held for both the person edit form, event form, and event form in the groups module.

Try saving the user date format preferences again and checking once more.

Do you mean to set & reset in my personal preferences or in the application settings?

Hi Marc,

Try updating your personal date format preferences.

If that doesn't work, I'll do a test on a Mac w/ FF.

thanks,

Yea, that worked.  I set the dates preference to something different and saved, and then reset it to mm/dd/yyyy and saved again, and now everything looks right.  Thanks.

Super. I'm glad that worked out.
